How Is 4minute Winning?

So, every week I see 4minute win at least one music show. I just don't fucking understand it. It's the worst song released this year and it's akin to getting crapped on by Cartman.

    1. it's getting a lot of airplay too. Anyone considered the possibility that Koreans actually like it?

  4. Part appeasement of 13 year old fangirl dimwits behind their keyboards as is typical of the industry (between 4Minute, Secret and T-ara N4 what do you think is the least controversial option right now as a group to win an award), part CUBE's patented chart manipulation technology and part the song is just really popular, I guess.

  6. There are only 2 possibilities:

1)4miniutes has released much more enjoyable (in my humble opinion at least)promotional tracks before to lukewarm responses e.g. Volume up, Heart to Heart etc. Then this piece of crap comes along and their popularity suddenly shot up through the roof. The only logical deduction that could be derived from this outcome is that Koreans are the ultimate contrarian when it comes to musical preference i.e. they will shit on serious musical endeavour but rally their support behind melodic diarrhea.

2)Cube is notorious for its album bulk-buying practice, but this approach is neither efficient nor effective in today's grading system in which sales of physical album is practically negligible. Apparently, Cube has discovered technologies to perverse the digital sales aggregation algorithm in favour of its artists to the detriment of others. (I recall reading an article some time ago, saying that both physical and digital charts could be manipulated by paying off the right companies....)

  8. Maybe their company is rigging their wins? It wouldn't be anything new in the k-pop industry.

  9. I was in Korea last week and, Jesus, this song is fucking everywhere. They play it like every half-an-hour. And fucking yesterday, I go to K-town and they play it there too...Koreans have real weird music tastes. The song's so bad that after all this listening, I'm starting to like it too...
